Growth of foreign direct investment slows in first half of year

KIEV, Aug. 18 - The growth of foreign direct investments (FDIs) in Ukraine in the first half of 2005 was estimated at $491.3 million, which was 14.4% down on year-over-year.

As the State Statistics Committee reported on Wednesday, the overall amount of FDIs made in Ukraine by July 1, 2005, had reached $9.061 billion, which was 23.7% up on July 1, 2004, or $192 per capita.
