KIEV, April 7 – Parliament has given first-reading approval to amendments which empower the Cabinet of Ministers to sell quotas for grain export at auctions.

The document won 242 votes from the MPs, with 226 needed for it to pass.

The bill also foresees that funds from the sale of quotas will be funneled into measures of state support to farmers.
