KIEV, April 4 – The international environmental organization Greenpeace has stated that food products in some regions of Ukraine are still contaminated by radiation after the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in 1986, according to BBC Ukraine.
The environmental organization examined food products for content of radionuclide caesium-137 in three regions of Ukraine outside the exclusion zone. The results of the research were published before an international conference on the situation at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine on April 19.
