KIEV, April 4 – Turkmenistan has invited Ukrainian companies to participate in tenders announced by Turkmenistan's state concerns concerning the exploration and development of oil and gas fields in the country, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Andriy Kliuyev said.

While commenting on the results of a meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkmen intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which took place in Ashgabat on March 31 and April 1, Kliuyev said that the sides had also agreed to consider the participation of Ukrainian companies, along with Turkmengaz and Turkmenneftegazstroy, in a number of projects on the construction of gas pipelines in Turkmenistan. In particular, the issue concerns the possible supply by Ukraine of steel pipes and manufacturing equipment to Turkmenistan, he added.
