KIEV, March 29 – The construction of a new safe Shelter facility at Chernobyl nuclear power plant will cost EUR 990 million, chairman of the State Agency for the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone Management Volodymyr Kholosha said at a press conference with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kiev on Tuesday.

According to Kholosha, the expert evaluation of the new Shelter facility construction carried out in the 1990s was $768 million.
