Yanukovych demands ‘customs measures’ replace expiring grain quotas
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, March 29 – President Viktor Yanukovych has demanded that after March 31, when the quotas on grain exports expire, that a document be drafted to replace them, if necessary, with customs measures, said Iryna Akimova first deputy head of Ukraine's presidential administration.

"If restrictions [on grain exports after March 31] are required, then these will be customs measures, rather than quotas," she said at a conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
