KIEV, March 25 – Ukraine will be positioned as "an open country," according to the strategy for positioning Ukraine abroad developed by order of the foreign ministry.
"We want to show that Ukraine is open, [so] that is why the concept is based on openness. Ukraine is open to reform, Ukraine is open to positive change, foreigners, tourism, international cooperation in various global processes and spheres. That's why in some ten years, when someone asks Europeans about Ukraine, we hope the answer will be – it's an open country," said Yuriy Sak, the creative director of CFC Consulting Company, which developed the strategy.
In turn, the director of the ministry's information policy department, Oleh Voloshyn, said: "This project cost us about $100,000. This sociological survey included the development of the concept, production of the brandbook, and creating a corresponding Web site." He added that the strategy will be implemented over the long term and private investors will finance it.
