KIEV, March 25 – Ukrainians see economic depression and the growth of unemployment are the worst threats to their country, according to a poll conducted by the Rating Group on March 4-14.
"The top five most serous threats to Ukraine include economic depression (according to 53% of respondents), the growth of unemployment (47%), the devaluation of the hryvnia (23%), the authorities' lawlessness (23%) and the degradation of the population's level of culture (18%). They are followed by the worsening of medical care (15%), the growth of criminality (13%), ecological catastrophes (13%), the mass emigration of Ukrainians (11%), splits in the country (9%), the demographic crisis (9%), the possible loss of independence (9%), the threat of civil war (8%), and the worsening of education quality (7%)," reads a press release of the Rating Group publicized on March 24.
