KIEV, March 17 – The construction of the third and fourth reactors at Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant will cost around UAH 33 billion ($4.154 billion), saud Volodymyr Bronnikov, the director general of Atomproektengineering, a subdivision of EnergoAtom, said in Kiev on Thursday.
Such preliminary costs are named in the feasibility study for the power units' construction made by Kiev-based Energoproek Research and Design Institute.
Bronnikov said that a comprehensive state assessment of investments into the project is planned, and it will be considered at a cabinet meeting by the end of 2011 with the aim of submitting a draft law on the construction of Khmelnytsky's power units to Parliament.
