KIEV, March 14 – The grain harvest in 2011 will exceed 42 million tons, said Regions Party MP Hryhoriy Kaletnik, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada committee on agrarian policy and land relations, citing the Agriculture Policy and Food Ministry.

"According to the ministry, the harvest in 2011 could exceed 42 million tons," he said at a meeting of the Economic Council at the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs dedicated to the issues of growing world food prices, creating a modern market of food and agricultural products in Ukraine, improving the investment attractiveness of the domestic agricultural sector and making the country one of the agricultural leaders in the world.
