KIEV, Feb. 25 – Ukraine’s state coal sector definitely has a future, said President Viktor Yanukovych.
"Of course, Ukraine will make use of its opportunities to extract coal, and the coal industry will have a future for sure," he said during the Conversation with the Country television project on Friday.
Yanukovych said that state policy would be aimed at increasing coal extraction.
He said that if today coal extraction is around 67-68 million tons per year, in the future the authorities set the goal of extracting around 100-105 million tons of coal.
