KIEV, Feb. 23 – The Cabinet of Ministers has raised the size of financial assistance paid on the birth of children born starting Jan. 1, Deputy Prime Minister Sergiy Tyhypko said.
Tyhypko said that 22 living wages, or UAH 17,952, would now be paid on the birth of a first child. Of these funds, the one-time payment will be UAH 7,344, and every family will then get UAH 884 each month for a year. On the birth of a second child, the size of financial assistance will be 45 living wages, or UAH 36,720. At the same time, the one-time payment will amount to UAH 7,344, and a family will then receive UAH 1,224 each month over two years. At the birth of the third and each successive child, the size of aid will total 90 living wages, or UAH 73,440. The one-time payment will be UAH 7,344, and UAH 1,836 will be allocated each month over three years.
