KIEV, Feb. 22 – AFK Sistema and Switzerland's Leica Geosystems are to cooperate in the creation and exploitation of global positioning systems (GPS) and designing new space vehicle docking systems.

The State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) told Interfax-Ukraine that recently in Kiev the partners signed a memorandum of understanding that foresees the creation of a joint venture (JV) for the practical realization of cooperation plans.

The document was signed by V. Vasyliev, AFK Sistema President and Andrea Cabrucci, president of Region EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
