KIEV, Feb. 14 – The American Chamber of Commerce has called on Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boyko to stop duty-free fuel imports to Ukraine.
The issue was discussed during a roundtable entitled "Ukraine's Path to Growth and Energy Prosperity: Engaging American Business", which took place in Washington, DC on February 14, 2010, according to a statement by the ACC press service.
"Oil and gas downstream sector Chamber companies advocated the restoration of a level playing field by stopping duty-free imports of oil products by one market player, as well as promoting fair conditions for competition to exist at the oil fuels market, so that no country importing fuels to Ukraine has unfair advantages or disadvantages," reads the statement.
