KIEV, Aug. 11 -- As of Aug. 1, over 20.5 million people, 44% of Ukraine's population, use mobile communication services. Since the beginning of the year, the number of subscribers has grown 1.5 times, and by 2.28 times against the same period last year, mobile operators say.

As Interfax-Ukraine has learned from Ukrainian Mobile Communications, in July, the number of its subscribers has grown to 10.14 million people. Thus, last months its clientele has expanded by 6.5%, and by 37% since the beginning of the year, and doubled year-over-year.
