KIEV, Feb. 14 – Ukraine wants to cooperate with U.S.-based companies in natural gas production from non-traditional sources and the construction of a re-gasifying terminal for handling liquefied natural gas, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Minister Yuriy Boyko said during a working visit to the United States.
"Ukraine is interested in the development of cooperation with the United States in nuclear energy, including enhancing the safety of nuclear power plants, extending the service life of operating reactors, cooperation in the qualification [under the Ukraine Nuclear Fuel Qualification Project (UNFQP)] and supply of nuclear fuel, as well as the creation of facilities to store spent fuel," the minister said.
