KIEV, Feb. 11 – Ukraine and India will set up a special joint working body for coordination and cooperation during the implementation of large-scale bilateral contracts in the defense sector.

The state-owned Ukrspecexport said that under an agreement reached by the sides at the 8th International Aerospace Show Aero India 2011 in Bangalore (India), the Indian Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and the Ukroboronprom State Concern would establish a joint working group.

At Aero India 2011, the Ukrainian and Indian sides also discussed the implementation of a contract signed in 2009 regarding the modernization in Ukraine of the An-32 light transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
