KIEV, Aug. 12 ??“ Ukraine??™s coal resources can be used to boost the country??™s energy independence, said First Deputy Prime Minister Anatoliy Kinakh.

"We have big reserves of developed power-generating coal. If we consume annually up to 100 million tons, this will be enough for 400 years ahead. This is a very powerful factor of our energy security," he told a press conference in Luhansk on Aug. 11.
