KIEV, Feb. 10 – The Union of Oil Market Operators of Ukraine has accused oil refineries and the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of manipulating information in order to introduce fuel import duties.

"The energy ministry and oil refineries continue manipulating data and putting pressure on the country's authorities to introduce fuel import duties," the union said in a statement.

The union claims that the profile ministry is misrepresenting importers as being those responsible for the increase in fuel prices, and Ukrainian oil refineries as a restraining force.
