KIEV, Feb. 9 – The situation with the provision of food to contracted and conscript servicemen is manageable and under constant monitoring by the Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the military department reported.
"On February 8, there were reports in the domestic mass media that a range of military units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have problems providing servicemen with food, and dry rations are being given to soldiers. The media liaisons department of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry informs representatives of the domestic mass media that as of February 8, 2011 none of the military unites of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has introduced dry rations. The situation regarding the provision of food to the servicemen of statutory and contract service is absolutely manageable and under constant monitoring by the Defense Ministry and the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the department reported.
