KIEV, Feb. 8 – The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has said that it is better to attract transnational companies and consortiums to develop Ukrainian oil and gas fields, including those on the Black Sea shelf.

"The development of any large fields is a very risky business. Among the risks are vagueness with the market price of oil and gas, variations in deposit valuations and oil and gas production costs, possible economic risks, and possible expenses on environment protection programs," the ministry's press service said.
