KIEV, Feb. 8 - Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse First Boston have demanded that Ukrainian telecom OJSC Ukrtelecom repay prior to term the $222.22 million remaining from a 2005 credit of $500 million in light of the planned change in the company's ownership.

The prospectus for an issue of domestic Ukrtelecom L-series bonds says the banks had originally set the payment date for January 17, 2011.
