IVANO-FRANKIVSK, Jan. 31 – A hexachlorobenzene reprocessing plant could be built in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

"Today I propose not to allocate funds for hexachlorobenzene removal, but to allocate funds for the construction of a hexachlorobenzene reprocessing plant," Kalush Mayor Ihor Nasalik said at a regional meeting of subdivisions of the Emergencies Ministry with participation of Ukrainian Emergencies Minister Viktor Baloha in Ivano-Frankivsk.

He said that not only hexachlorobenzene, but other dangerous chemical waste could be recycled at the plant.
