DAVOS, Jan. 28 – President Viktor Yanukovych has said he plans to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan this year.

"I'm planning a visit to Azerbaijan this year, when it is convenient for you and me, so that we can continue our friendly political, strategic dialog in Azerbaijan," Yanukovych said at a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Davos on Friday, as part of the World Economic Forum.

Yanukovych said that the bilateral dialog was effective. In particular, he noted that there was a high growth in the trade between the countries in 2010, new areas of bilateral cooperation had appeared, and the trade in fuels and lubricants had increased.
