KIEV, Jan. 27 – Germany's Siemens AG has been seeking to rival a Chinese company for building high-speed trains for a rail link between Kiev and its main international airport, Boryspil.

"What will the trains from Kiev to Boryspil look like? Siemens has ideas about this," a company official said at a recent meeting with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

Siemens also suggested Ukraine to buy high-speed trains for a rail link between Kiev and Donetsk, noting that such trains have been successfully operating in Russia between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
