KIEV, Jan. 19 – The National Bank of Ukraine has injected over 99% of its non-cash emissions in 2010 into foreign currency purchases, the NBU said in a posting on its Web site.
"In 2010, the amount of net non-cash emissions (the issue of money for circulation minus the sum of its withdrawal from circulation) was estimated at UAH 35.5 billion. Almost all the funds (99.4%) were injected into circulation through foreign currency purchases to replenish Ukraine's international reserves," reads the posting.
