KIEV, Jan. 14 – The National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) is to increase the tariffs for households that consume over 150 kWh of electricity per month by 30% starting February 1.
The tariffs for households with electric stoves or using electricity for heating would increase by 30% if they consume over 250 kWh per month.
The new tariffs would be applied to those electricity volumes that exceed the set limits (150 kWh and 250 kWh).
"For example, if I consume 200 kWh per month, I would pay the old tariff for 150 kWh and the new tariff for 50 kWh, [the new tariff having] increased by 30%," a commission representative said.
