KIEV, Jan. 13 - President Viktor Yanukovych has vetoed a law that would have entitled holders of a 95% stake in a corporation to force minority shareholders to sell their stakes.
The president returned the law with his proposals to Parliament on January 11, Parliament’s press service reported.
According to president's remarks, the head of state did not support the granting of the right to force minority shareholders to sell their shares to holders of an over 95% stake in joint-stock companies, saying it violates constitutional guarantees on ownership rights and basic requirements of the constitution on the equality of the constitutional rights of citizens.
