KIEV, Jan. 12 – Parliament has rejected proposed amendments to laws of Ukraine regarding the declaration of incomes and expenses of high-ranking officials empowered to fulfill functions at state and local government bodies, and their relatives.
Only 118 out of 418 MPs registered in the parliament session hall supported this draft law (at least 226 votes needed for to pass).
According to the explanatory note to the bill, the draft law proposes a special system for the declaration of incomes and expenses of high-ranking officials empowered to fulfill the functions of state and local government bodies, and their close relatives (family members, parents, brothers and sisters, grandchildren, foster parents and adopted children).
