KIEV, Jan. 10 – Sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine in 2010 came to 162,595, which is 0.2% up on 2009, reads a posting on the AUTO-Consulting's Web site.
The slight rise in sales in 2010 was reached thanks to the sales in December, when 17,800 cars were sold, which is 43% up on December 2009.
"December returned its reputation of the most generous month, but not all auto centers gave discounts in 2010. A lack of cars was seen on the market by late 2010, and market players decided to resume imports of cars in 2011," reads the report, referring to a group of AUTO-Consulting's experts.
