KIEV, Jan. 6 – The Antimonopoly Committee has brought an action on the sharp increase of prices of A-95 and A-92 gasoline at the end of 2010 and in the first days of 2011 by major market operators.
According to the committee's preliminary information, OKKO Naftoproduct Ltd., Kontynent-Naftotrade Ltd. (WOG TM), Alliance-Holding Ltd. (Shell TM), LUKOIL-Ukraine and TNK-BP Commerce Ltd. led the price increase.
The antitrust agency noted that the investigation will cover the activity of major oil traders, which ignored its demand to establish economically-grounded prices of fuel.
