KIEV, Jan. 6 – Ukraine boosted production of pipe from ferrous metals by 10.7% in 2010, to 1.753 million tons.

Ukraine produced 184,800 tons of ferrous pipe in December alone, Ukrtruboprom, the pipe producers' amalgamation, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Ukrtruboprom noted a considerable reduction in pipe production by Khartsyzsk pipe plant January through August 2010. Yet, the production at the plant started growing since the end of August 2010 due to pipe shipments to Russia's Transneft.
