New NBU chief committed to continued liberalization, says official

KIEV, Dec. 30 – The National Bank of Ukraine continues working on the further liberalization of the financial market, the director of the foreign economic relations debarment at the NBU, Serhiy Kruhlyk said, referring to the position of NBU Governor Serhiy Arbuzov.

"The NBU governor supports the liberalization of the market, including the currency market. He said that the issue is a very important one. The governor and his deputies would work in the holiday period. An extraordinary meeting of the board is scheduled for early January, where the issue of the currency crediting would be considered along with other issues," he told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.
