KIEV, Dec. 27 – The positive balance of interventions of the National Bank of Ukraine since the start of 2010 has reached $1.251 billion, said Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the NBU governor.
"Since the start of the year, the NBU has a positive balance of interventions at $1.251 billion… We bought more currency that we sold," he said at a press conference in Kiev.
Lytvytsky said that this month the NBU would buy over $500 million.
