BRUSSELS, Dec. 6 – The deepening of political relations between Kiev and Brussels should be based on common values such as respect for human rights and democratic principles, whereas the preservation of political stability must not contradict the protection of fundamental rights, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule believes.
Speaking on Monday in Warsaw at a conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Centre for Eastern Studies, the EU commissioner noted that the prospects for bilateral relations are very positive. In this connection he mentioned the talks on an Association Agreement and the Action Plan towards visa liberalization presented during the EU-Ukraine Summit.
