KIEV, Dec. 3 – Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, expects to cut consumption of technological gas by 13.5% or by 500 million cubic meters in 2010 by replacing gas-powered turbines with electric gas pumps.

The company's gas-powered turbines consumed to 3.2 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas last year.

The company said on Friday that it would save some UAH 150 million thanks to cutting the consumption of technological gas that is used to support gas transit.
