ASTANA, Nov. 30 - Ukraine is preparing a number of important decisions to strengthen nuclear security, President Viktor Yanukovych said.
The head of state said at a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in Astana on Tuesday that these decisions were to be adopted in April 2011 at an international conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
"Your [the UN secretary-general's] participation in this summit will be important for Ukraine, because we are preparing to adopt a number of important decisions regarding the strengthening of nuclear security and the nonproliferation of nuclear materials," Yanukovych said.
