KIEV, Nov. 23 – The dismissal of the Ukrainian government led by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov should be a minimum demand by businessmen protesting against the adoption of the new Tax Code, Svoboda Party leader Oleh Tiahnybok said.
"The policy of the government led by Azarov, [Deputy Prime Minister Sergiy] Tyhypko and [Education Minister Dmytro] Tabachnyk and their Tax Code are nothing but the latest policy of dekulakization (the Soviet campaign of political repression, including the arrest, deportation, and execution of millions of better-off peasants and their families in 1929-1932) whose goal is the complete destruction of the middle class in Ukraine... If this government is not stopped, then these actions could lead to a new Holodomor - genocide against the Ukrainian nation," he said at a protest against the adoption of the Tax Code on Independence Square in Kiev on Monday.
