KIEV, Nov. 12 – The Fuel and Energy Ministry has recommended the postponement of Euro-4 and Euro-5 fuel quality standards for two years, said Oleksandr Matviychuk, the head of the State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy.
"They warned that we would transfer to new standards, but nobody did anything. And now the matter was who will appeal to us: the Fuel and Energy Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry or the Agriculture Ministry. The fuel ministry appealed to us, they ask to postpone [the transfer to new fuel quality standards] for 2 years," he said at the international conference on the issue of the Ukrainian fuel market development.
