KALUSH (Ivano-Frankivsk region), Nov. 11 - President Viktor Yanukovych has said that the environmental situation in Kalush district in Ivano-Frankivsk region is extremely dissatisfactory.

"The Dombrovsky quarry is in very poor condition, and the contractor is not meeting its commitments. It [the contractor] is not spending the funds that have been allocated, UAH 25 million," the president said at the opening of new production facilities at the Karpatnaftokhim plant in Kalush on Thursday.

Yanukovych said that if the contractor fails to provide guarantees on the spending of funds by the end of this year, it would be replaced. He noted that during his working visit to Ivano-Frankivsk region he would discuss the matter with the contractor.
