KIEV, Nov. 8 – The Defense Ministry will need about UAH 500 million in state financing in 2011 to carry out a state construction project to build a new corvette for the Ukrainian Navy, which failed in 2010, Interfax-Ukraine learned from an informed source.

The source noted that the Black Sea Shipyard in Mykolaiv, which is the main manufacturer of the corvette, has spent the assets allocated to the Defense Ministry in 2009 on metal and equipment for the first ship of the series.
