KIEV, Nov. 4 – Ukraine has assumed chairmanship of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn announced.

"It is a great honor for Ukraine and for me personally to assume the chairmanship of the Parliamentary Assembly of the BSEC, an organization that for almost two decades has proved its worth as a reliable and mutually beneficial mechanism for political, economic, social and cross-cultural dialog at the regional level," Lytvyn said at a ceremony in Trabzon, Turkey.
