KIEV, Nov. 1 – Poor performance by the State Commission for Regulating the Financial Services Markets (Derzhfinposluh) may prompt some foreign investors to file claims against the state.
According to the League of the Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU), the cause prompting the foreign investors to go to court is the register of financial institutions, which, according to the regulator, resembles "a sieve with holes" [some companies have established that the register lacks information about their branches through the fault of the regulator]. In the end, some companies may lose all their licenses, and some insurance companies may be deleted from the register.
