KIEV, Aug. 2 ??“ International Monetary Fund Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato will soon visit Ukraine, a source at the IMF??™s representation in Kiev said.
The news comes a year after the organization, which has advanced Ukraine SDR3.01 billion since the start of its involvement here in 1994, suspended the ???precautionary??? standby agreement it had provided the country in March, on the grounds that Kiev had failed to meet a number of commitments in the field of fiscal and banking policy.
