KIEV, Oct. 29 – The share of bad credits in Ukrainian banks in 2010 continues growing, although at a slower pace than in 2009, reports Olha Ihnatieva, an analyst from Fitch Ratings.
"There is a negative pace. We see a trend for a slowdown in the pace of the worsening of the quality of banks' assets… The clearing of balance sheets of bad credits will be a rather long process," she said at a conference organized by Fitch Ratings in Kiev.
"Maybe not all banks will be able to do this. We do not rule out that some banks will be closed," she added.
