KIEV, Oct. 28 – Ukraine's total state (direct) and secured debt grew by 5.8%, or by $2.785 billion, in September to $51.09 billion, according to a posting on the Finance Ministry's Web site.
According to the posting, the total state debt in January to September rose by 28.3%, to $11.277 billion.
The state debt grew in September mainly due to the placement of eurobonds worth $2 billion, whereas the state debt's 5.4% growth in August was mainly because of an issue of VAT-reimbursing bonds worth UAH 16.4 billion ($2.1 billion).
