KIEV, Oct. 22 – The net inflow of foreign direct investment in Ukraine January through September 2010 is estimated at $3.6 billion, which was 8% up on the same period last year, the National Bank of Ukraine said in a posting on its official Web site.
"Over the nine months, the gross inflow of foreign direct investments into Ukraine (i.e. nonresidents' investments in the Ukrainian economy) was estimated at $4.3 billion, which was 25% up on the same period last year… The net inflow of foreign direct investments (the difference between the inflow of foreign direct investments into Ukraine and investments made abroad) from January through September 2010 was estimated at $3.6 billion, which was 8% up on the same period last year ($3.4 billion)," reads the posting.
