KIEV, Oct. 21 – The visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Ukraine is not likely to affect relations between Kiev and Washington in any way, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian President Andriy Honcharuk told the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper.

"The development of mutually beneficial relations between Kiev and Caracas and the strategic partnership with Washington are issues which in no way interfere with each other," Honcharuk said.
