KIEV, Oct. 19 - Black Sea Shipyard state-run enterprise (Mykolaiv) is to build another container ship hull under an order from Damen Shipyard Bergum (the Netherlands).
The contract was signed last week.
The Ukrainian shipyard is to build the hull and deck and install some fittings. The ship will be delivered to the customer in Q4 2011. Other details of the contract are not being disclosed.
The ship would be the third universal container ships of 3,800 tonnes deadweight built at the Ukrainian shipyard for its Dutch partner since 2009.
