KIEV, Oct. 13 – Ukrtransgaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said it has successfully prepared the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS) to operate in the autumn and winter period of 2010-2011.

"According to the conclusions of a company commission, the gas transport system is ready to stable operation in the autumn and winter period, and gas accumulated would allow providing its stable transit to European countries and satisfying the needs of the Ukrainian public and companies," said Ukrtransgaz head Serhiy Vinokurov.

According to the report, all 13 repair and preventing measures scheduled for this year were realized in full and on time with total stoppage of compressor stations at all main pipelines.
